James Blake shares new track, ’200 Press’

James Blake has released a preview of his upcoming track, ’200 Press’.

The song is off the forthcoming 1-800 Dinosaur release and is out digitally on December 8, featuring two other tracks and a poem titled ‘Words That We Both Know’.

’200 Press’ will also be out as a 12″ and as a 7″ double-pack, with Blake announcing that “only 200 are going to be pressed up.”

James Blake recently announced that he is “70 per cent” through finishing his third studio album, with a collaboration with Kanye West possible.

Earlier this month, Theo Parrish revealed complete details of his long-awaited American Intelligence album, and today, the revered Detroit selector and producer has shared a stream of LP cut “Be in Yo Self.” True to Parrish’s signature, the 13-minute track features groove-based, organic percussion, with layers of bluesy, soul-inflected vocals and elements of jazz and funk. American Intelligence is due to arrive in early December via Parrish’s own Sound Signature label, and “Be in Yo Self” (featuring Ideeyah and Duminie Deporres) can be heard here courtesy of NPR.

Trouw will host an extended Saturday evening-into-Monday session in December.

The two-part open-ended party, which the club is calling “The Last December Weekender,” is scheduled to run for at least 35 hours, beginning at 10 PM on Saturday, December 27th. The first part of the event has a techno theme, featuring Berlin-based heavy-hitters Marcel Fengler and Peter Van Hoesen, plus resident Sandrien in the main room, and more house-focussed sounds in De Verdieping. A new session starts at 8 AM on Sunday, with Mano Le ToughTale Of UsBaikal and Marcus Worgull spinning in Room One. Meanwhile the third edition of … Is Burning, soundtracked by Kim Ann Foxman, Titia and a back-to-back set from founders Sandrien and Carlos Valdes, takes place in De Verdieping.

It’ll be one of the last-ever parties at Trouw—the club’s final event before it closes will happen on January 3rd, 2015.
